A pair of braced cantilevers for an outdoor unit of any size. Galvanised for an ordinary facade, stainless when the house stands by the sea. With a cage when the unit hangs at arm height.
Off-the-shelf angles from the builders merchant are made for an average weight on an average wall. For a 24,000 BTU unit, or a hollow block facade, they are not enough: the bracket does not break, the wall does. A welded one is sized for that weight and that masonry.
Even a galvanised bracket bleeds rust if it hangs on black bolts. All fixings go in stainless, and the welds get a zinc-rich coat afterwards — otherwise the streaks appear down the facade within a year.
Outdoor units at street level get stolen, and in Cyprus that is not rare. A barred cage with a lock costs less than a new unit, and it also keeps footballs off the coil.
Set how many units and how big — the price follows. A second and third unit on the same visit come out cheaper: the travel is paid for once.
What the page works out is an estimate, not a quote. The final figure is always worked out separately, because the same structure in two different places does not cost the same.
