Grilles for windows, balcony doors and ground-floor light wells. Fixed where you store things, hinged with a lock where you sleep. I measure every opening separately and weld the frame to the real size — openings are rarely rectangular.
A grille is chosen room by room, not house by house. In a store room only strength matters; in a bedroom the escape route matters too; on the street facade so does the look.
Box-section frame with 12 mm vertical bars, anchored into the wall. The cheapest and the toughest — for store rooms, plant rooms and bathroom light wells.
Hinges and a lock that releases from inside without a key. The only sensible choice for a bedroom or a child's room: in a fire the window has to open.
Vertical bars tied by horizontals. Much harder to lever apart, and visually quieter than a dense lattice.
Scrolls, rosettes, twisted bar. For stone houses and facades that will not carry an industrial look. The pattern is agreed before anything is cut.
Welded mesh instead of bars. Lighter and cheaper, and it also stops objects being posted through — good for light wells and basements.
A cage around the outdoor unit or the meter. Same profile and same coating as the window grilles, so the facade does not end up looking assembled from spare parts.
A grille rarely fails at the bar. It almost always comes out together with its fixing — which is why the anchoring matters more than the thickness of the steel.
Chemical or expansion anchors deep into the structural wall — not into render and not into insulation.
The grille sits back in the opening: the anchors cannot be reached from outside or cut with an angle grinder.
In a bedroom — hinged only, with a lock that opens from inside without a key.
On a coastal facade painted steel bleeds rust down the wall. There I use galvanised steel under powder coating.
Pick the opening size, the pattern and how it opens — the drawing and the price update instantly.
What the page works out is an estimate, not a quote. The final figure is always worked out separately, because the same structure in two different places does not cost the same.
This is not factory production, where everything comes out identical, soulless and at the lowest price. Each piece is made for your particular spot. Write to me — we will go through where reinforcement is worth it and where it is not, and I will find an option that suits you.
