Tungsten Inert Gas welding in an argon shield. The cleanest and most precise method. Seams are flat, without slag, burns or spatters. Especially important for stainless steel — TIG preserves corrosion resistance.
I use professional Miller Dynasty 200 machines with pulse mode. Weld quality is comparable to industrial production.
For steel railings I use powder coating. More durable than paint — doesn't chip, doesn't fade in the sun, doesn't peel.
Any RAL color available. Popular: matte black (RAL 9005), white (RAL 9016), anthracite (RAL 7016), bronze. The coating protects steel from rust.
AISI 304 is regular stainless steel. For indoor use or far from the sea.
AISI 316 is marine-grade stainless steel with molybdenum (2-3%). Doesn't rust even on the coast, near the sea, at the pool. Slightly more expensive than 304, but essential for outdoor use in Cyprus.
For railings with glass I use tempered safety glass 10-12 mm thick. If it breaks — it crumbles into small safe fragments without sharp edges.
Glass can be clear, tinted, frosted. Mounting — in metal frame or on point fixings. I make the metal frame, glass is ordered from specialized companies.
